How Do I Accept The Free Gift Of Salvation; Become Born Again?

ADMIT you are a sinner.

"There is no one righteous, not even one ... for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Psalm 14:2-3, Psalm 58:3, Romans 3:10,23, Romans 5:8; 6:23.  "If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us."  1 John 1:8.  Ask God's forgiveness.  There is no sin or list of sins too great for God's mercy and forgiveness.  "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Joel 2:32, Romans 10:13

BELIEVE that Jesus died on the cross for YOU.  Believe that He died for you, was buried, and rose again on the third day.

Take a look back at Romans 6:23.  Jesus died a terrible death on a cross to pay the price for our sin.  Jesus took our place when we deserved spiritual death.  Believe in Jesus (put your trust in Him) as your only hope of salvation. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16.  Become a child of God by receiving Jesus. "To all who receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." John 1:12. "In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins." Colossians 1:14

CONFESS that Jesus is your Lord and Savior. Call on Jesus to save you.

"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9  "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9

To confess, you can pray a simple prayer something like this... (the exact words don't matter)

Jesus, please come into my life.  I admit that I have sinned, and I need your forgiveness.  I believe that you died for me and rose from the dead.  I want you to be my Lord and Savior.  Thank you for all that you have done for me.  I want to live for you.

If you prayed that prayer and meant it with all your heart, He has changed your life forever.  You have been made new on the inside and are forgiven.  You have been born again.  It is that simple!!!

No person is perfect, and born again or not, we all have problems and times of stress in life.  However gradually the perspective, behavior, and reactions of a born again believer begins to change as the person begin to grow in knowledge and understanding of God's character and His will for their life.

Now, start to find out more about what God has in store for you and how He wants to work in your life.  Begin reading a chapter or even just a few pages of the Bible every day.  Talk to God every day.  Tell Him your thoughts & concerns.

God has a wonderful plan for your life.  You will never be the same again!
